It started with a passion to build technology products for small and medium scaled businesses . With time, it turned into a driving force to build as well as help create products as an investor that held the potential to disrupt the conventional market trends. My focus had and has always been on one thing - to develop simple products with utmost attention towards the target audience's orientation.

From intricately hand-picking a strong product engineering team to concentrating on proprietary frameworks on which robust Cloud and Mobile platforms can be built, it has always been a keen area of focus for me. And now I have with me an entire army of talented individuals and state-of-the-art infrastructure that helps us take any challenge that we come across head-on. Just the way I like it.

My entrepreneurial stint started with Avani Technology Solutions Inc. A business with a vision to build SAP solutions in the HR space soon expanded into the area of Product Engineering and Government Solutions. With the support of the team and the faith that has been bestowed upon us by our existing clientele, Avani today enjoys doing business with more than a dozen government clients and a number of outsourced engagements spread across six countries. The operations for the same being handled through offices in the US and India.

While heading Avani, I came across an opportunity to help bring in existence an intuitive and innovative product that could very well change the HR space and the very way HR solutions functioned. I could not resist the calling and took the plunge. And thats how I donned the cap of an investor for the first time and CEIPAL was born with me as the principal investor. The team's flagship product, CEIPAL, went on to become and still is a successful integrated HR solutions platform for talent hiring and workforce management. CEIPAL is simple but very intuitive allowing customers to adapt quickly within hours. The product also has industry specific solutions for IT Consulting, Non-Profits and Engineering Service firms.

With one investment hitting off beyond my expectations, pretty soon i found myself on the look-out for more opportunities to invest in. Through investing, I found that I could achieve much more of my wants in a more streamlined yet quicker manner, than me executing and starting off things on my own. Hence, Nigama Ventures was born.

Through it, what started out working with an marketing team to prototype a product as a service, ended up as an investment in a venture that has the potential to revolutionise the industry with the automation of PR, Branding, Marketing and Social Intelligence. `Infyx Solutions` was created and is an emerging part of Nigama Ventures.

Other investments that I dwelled into includes a class 'A' commercial business park in Rochester, NY. It currently serves over ten tenants and has become an eye-catching land-mark which many businesses enjoy calling home.

As a founder and trustee of `Nigama Foundation`, I took on the mission to support an orphanage school in India to empower children with an education. I frequently lends support to many other social causes activities in India and the US that catch my attention and the ones that I believe can bring about a change. Here in the US, I support community programs including the Northwest YMCA, and the Red Cross of Rochester as well as serving in the following organisations:

  • A leading member of Council's (NYNJ Minority Supplier Development Council) Upstate Advisory Committee helping connect with MBE and Corporates in upstate NY.
  • Served as a panel member in 'Chamber Business Rounds: Information Technology' conducted by Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce. (goo.gl/4OnaAG)
